You Guys Are The Best!

Really, you are. Thank you so much for your sweet words about our big news last week!  I carried around all your comments from that post/social media in my mind throughout the weekend, and it was just another blessing this pregnancy has brought to us.  I promise this won't turn into a baby-all baby-only baby blog, but I will share some updates here and there throughout.

I'm trying to force my mind to put the kibosh on nursery ideas for now, since I still plan to use my office for several more months before it gets the Babyville overhaul.  Speaking of that office....what is wrong with me??

I've been waiting to share pics of it until the very end, because who doesn't love to ooh and ahh over a dramatic before and after, right?  Or maybe it's because I don't want to admit how crazy ridiculous the process has been to get it done.  I let the kids play in there (because they want to be in the same room while I work on it) and BOOM. Floor covered in paper and markers and other unrecognizable things.

That happens on repeat, on the daily.  Especially if I finally clear some floorspace.  They can't. resist. the. openness.  It started to feel like I wasn't making progress, but it's not entirely true.  For every new mess created, I have been able to knock out little projects here and there.

And I finally decided that it's just dumb to save it all for one final super reveal.  So, I'm going to shove all the floor mess to the side and snap some shots of the projects we've checked off the list so far.  Starting with my sewing cart makeover.  This is after her first little update in our last house:

Now, she's purdy and shiny and one of my favorite mini-makeovers of the space.  I'll be sharing that little corner tomorrow and then some of my desktop organization  later in the week.

This first trimester has kicked my booty and while I've been on the couch, the house has gone to......well, it's bad.  I was already overwhelmed by the amount of purging/organizing/unpacking that still needed to be done, and it just shot up to a whole new level over the past few weeks.

Since my energy is slowly returning, and I don't feel like throwing up everything I eat anymore, I was thrilled to see Ann Marie post the 40 Bags in 40 Days Summer Edition this week!

One bag, one small area at a time...it's the only way I'll be able to get things back under control.  She has great tips on her site for how to get started and stay on track.  I'll be posting our own decrapification updates on Facebook, Instagram, and occassionally here on the blog.   Care to join in the fun?

Thanks so much for reading! We would love to keep in touch!
