Coffee Break: Good Reads

TGIF!!  If there were a double caps key, I would use it.   Yesterday was the first day since Monday that I was able to do anything beyond the absolutely necessary stuff...like feeding my children and getting them to their evening swim lesson.  Rain kept us inside for most of the week anyway but they were thrilled my stomach was calm enough for us to get to the park and out for lunch yesterday.  Poor chicklets.

We're heading to this Strawberry Festival tomorrow and I can't wait!  Hallelujah for fresh air and summer crops! I'll also be putting the finishing touches on my office (FINALLY!)....reveal coming next week!

I hope you all have a great weekend and if you need a little web surfing time, here's a few good reads from around the web...

With summer upon us and pools/lakes/creeks in our future, these two articles about water safety were very timely.....a sobering read on secondary drowning and another on what drowning really looks like

To avoid the summer mush brain I'm totally doing this Summer Reading Star program with the kids!  Such a creative spin on summer reading with adorable free printables through How Does She?.

I so appreciated this candid post by Jackie of Teal & Lime.  I have felt this very things so many times and all I can say is "Amen, Girl"!

I also loved this article from Carmel about how we view our bodies and what that says to our daughters (and everyone around us).

Finally, can I just say how much I love Pope Francis.  His words are straight to the heart.  Challenging but always full of hope.

And that wraps it up.  Have a great weekend and we'll see you next week!

Thanks so much for reading! We would love to keep in touch!
