House Updates and A Yummy Week Ahead!

Happy Monday!  I hope you all had a great weekend!

If you follow along on Instagram, you probably saw that we ventured out in the snow/slush on Saturday and took the kids to see the movie "Frozen".  Sorry for the phone pics here..

The boys really enjoyed it but Mia is finally at an age where she actually gets the jokes and understands the sarcasm in the dialogue.  In her own words, "Mom, I laughed through the whole movie!".  A true statement indeed.  And so cute.

We've been sort of at a standstill when it comes to unpacking.  I mentioned that we planned to replace the flooring in the living room/dining room/entry/hallway (so everything that goes in those spaces is either still boxed up or shoved into another room at the moment).  A family friend hooked us up with her carpenter friend who is helping us lay the flooring...but weather and schedules have made it a slow process.

As of this morning the laundry room was done and most of the entry...

But tonight I can say that the living room is about 95% complete!  We have to build out some of the curved areas, but everything should be completed by Wednesday.  Pics to come!

Since we haven't been able to unpack boxes, we've been swinging the paintbrushes instead.  The boys are no longer sleeping in a purple room.  Correction.  The boys' room is no longer purple; therefore, they are now sleeping in it.

And Mia's room is no longer green.  I really didn't want to do pink walls in her room again, but well, I caved....

It's her space after all.  And now I'm pretty excited about some of the projects that will be happening in that sweet girl's room.  The delicious fabric inspiring the plans...

Speaking of delicious, we have a bunch of yummy posts in store for you this week!  We're baking our Christmas goodies and putting together teacher gifts, so tune in for some amazing recipes, some printables, and our best tips/tricks for getting the perfect sugar cookies every time!

Thanks so much for reading! We would love to keep in touch!
