House For Six

Heading Home!

We're heading home from a week in Galveston Beach, TX today.   I had actually planned to do a little post here and there throughout the trip, but didn't realize how much I needed to get away and unplug until we actually arrived.  I used my phone to share some pics via Instagram, but otherwise stayed away from the computer.  I feel recharged, grateful for time with family, and ready to come home!

Here's a few Insta highlights as we prepare to leave the humidity and get reacquainted with the dry skin and spring allergies of our beloved ABQ desert....

The view from our balcony with stairs that lead straight to the beach.

We did have a few rainy days, but a pop-up tent indoors is always good fun.

The weather watchers standing by, ready to report when the rain had stopped.

It was too cold for the water on those days but perfect kite-flying weather!

This one was all about the food.  Lots and lots of food.

And his kite skills could use a little work..

The birds were well fed during our visit

We'll miss the waves and our cousins/aunts/uncles/grandparents...

And I'll definitely miss starting every morning with a cup of this:

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter and we'll be back for more house projects in just a bit!
