A "Mantle" In Need Of Spring

Ok, I'm putting all my chips on spring actually sticking around and the snow we experienced on Wed being winter's last attempt to hang onto the throne.  I'm sure by writing this, I am just asking for another cold spell, but seriously...it's April.  We are so over being stuck inside and the crud/cold/flu/ick that has plagued our family for the past 4 months.

Winter must have done a number on my general outlook because as I looked at the piano today, I realized how utterly sad and void of life/color our "mantle" appeared.   This is how it looked after I removed all of our Christmas decorations.  And it has stayed like this since January.

Definitely time to get rid of the pine cones and freshen things up! Otherwise, I may fall into some sort of color-void depression.

We have a totally free weekend and plenty of little projects to finish up.  But we're also ready to catch up on some rest and hopefully enjoy some time outside in weather that somewhat resembles spring.  Here's hoping!

And I hope you all have a wonderful weekend too!
